Resolution for 2021

To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To express the love that proceeds from knowing Jesus as my Savior.
To rest in God’s power alone.

“For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.”

2 Corinthians 4:5-10 (ESV)

The LIGHT that has come into the world (who’s arrival we celebrate every Christmas) continues to shine as it were through the efforts of His followers. Through trials and viruses, we strive to point people to the cross by however means possible. No wonder Paul declared to the Corinthian church, “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). He knew the saving power of preaching Christ crucified. No other agenda would suffice or supplant the unashamed preaching of Christ crucified and His resurrection.

Come what may, resolve to shine the light of Christ in the darkness throughout 2021.

Happy New Year!
